Although I like a variety of music styles, classic rock from the ’60s and ’70s is my favorite. The songs I selected for House of Sorrow aren’t what I would envision Ruth listening to, but they are representative of the story’s time frame.
If I had to choose one song that best fits the 1960s, I’d pick “For What It’s Worth” It’s the ultimate ’60s song. I selected “Let it Be” for obvious reasons. Steely Dan was a popular group in the ’70s and their song “Deacon Blues” is one of my favorites.
