Okay, if you’ve followed me for a while, you know I often make changes. I’ve changed the theme of my website several times. I’ve changed the colors and headers. I’ve even changed domain names in the past. A few of you were around when I wrote only non-fiction. (Until I found my happy place.)
So yes, I like changes. Now it’s time for another change. (Nothing drastic, I promise!)
A year ago, I was honored to be invited as a contributor for the Story Empire site. (Can’t believe it’s been a year already.) Until that time I didn’t have much experience using a WordPress (dot) com blogging platform. I had either used Google or went to a self-hosted WordPress site. And the more I used the dot com version, the more I liked it over the self-hosted format.
One of the things I like is the reblog feature. On a self-hosted site, users can’t reblog nor can I reblog from other sites. I can use “press this” but it’s often a pain. WordPress also makes it easy to follow a blog – either by email or in a WordPress reader. And I like the simplicity of the comment system.
So, I’ve decided to switch the blog over to a WordPress (dot) com account. My website, which features all my books, links, contact information, etc. will remain as is. And in fact, you won’t see much difference. The themes are the same, there will be a link from the website to the blog and vice-versa.
The new blog is set up and ready to go. I’ll begin posting there next week.
There is one caveat. If you have followed this blog via email or in a reader, you’ll need to resubscribe to the new site as I am unable to import subscribers to the new site. You can sign up to follow by clicking here. I hope you’ll join me so that you can keep up with my latest news.
And now, since I like changes (and music), I’ll leave you with this:
